Do I Buy An Arcade Cabinet?
While trying to do anything but revise i somehow got onto ebay looking at arcade cabs and for about £200 or so i could get an arcade cabinet and a board with a few hundred games from the ninties(a lot of them are pretty good as well).
Was thinking it could make an awsome addition to the living room/my room next year, or am I being stupid and just going to waste my money?

Re: Do I Buy An Arcade Cabinet?
Make your own, it can be a summer project for you.
Realistically, how often would you play it and how long do you think it'd take for the novelty to wear off? Hardly something you can just put in the corner and forget about, it's a massive cabinet!

Re: Do I Buy An Arcade Cabinet?
I was thinking of making one as well, but if you buy a second hand cab its only like £50 its the big games PCBs which are expensive. mabie i could make one of them instead!

Re: Do I Buy An Arcade Cabinet?
Some quick reading with no depth and/or understanding gave me the impression that you can create one using an old PC. Which would mean emulator goodness. But I'm sure it's not easy.

Re: Do I Buy An Arcade Cabinet?
i had a look at doing something like that before but it worked out to be wayyy to much hastle and probably more expensive than getting a pre-build 2nd hand one

Re: Do I Buy An Arcade Cabinet?
Hey, Matt it's gonna be harder enough to keep you out the house anyway, why would we want to add another feature which you love?
Anyway i say it's alot of money and where would you put it after the novelty rub off.
