Re: Forum skin
This is the ugliest skin I have ever seen. You mention bringing more people on, they're probably not going to join when they assume we're all emotionless and/or depressive folk. Sure we're studying computers but that's no reason to think we're all uber-cool and "goth".
Did I miss a meeting when we no longer listened to what people wanted and just went ahead and did it anyway? Blue was the clear winner, and even pink got more than grey. In this quote I've even given grey the benefit of the doubt by putting it above green, but it was still equal.
In conclusion: admin team sucks balls.

What he said. ^^^
[EDIT]: I also noticed that when logging in, there is black text on an almost black background, and links at the bottom of the page in topics are blue text on a blue sidebar.
Re: Forum skin
i also dont really like the buttons (like profile and PM and so on) they are way to small and quite hard to read in the pixel font. the original blue was better

Re: Forum skin
The original skin was alot better than this one, although i do like the colour scheme now (maybe more blue needed but i have no idea how customisable the coulour schemes actually are!). i find this skin harder to use, as i'd just got used to the original one which was easier to use.

Re: Forum skin
Don't get me wrong, the layout is much more standardised to what most forums use. Links in similar places, poster's information before the post itself, etc, etc.
But the colour scheme was changed despite the poll results. Just because this one has blue bars does not qualify it for the "blue" choice that was voted for. But yeah, blue text on a blue background. You've really tried to incorporate our choice, I guess.
If you want to change stuff like this then go ahead and do it, but don't waste our time by pretending you care what the masses want. What's next? Five poll sub-sections? Hell, at least Stuart paid attention to us.
EDIT: And what's up with the nuclear sign at the top? You know, if you guys were making a shitty newbie game clan you could have at least informed me first.

I saw no announcement to tell us of the trial. Nor do I see a reason to fuck about with a skin that nobody had any complaints about.
Thus lending credence to my assertion that the admin team sucks balls.

Re: Forum skin
Don't confuse anger with strong opinion. Notice how we all reacted to what seemed like a permanent change, including one of the mods no less, and tell us that the fact it was a trial was clear and that we're in the wrong for criticising.

Re: Forum skin
i wasnt saying you were wrong for criticising ... and it was a trial to see what people thought ... even though i didnt tell anyone ... and its clear that only a couple did ... so i changed it back ...
i made a bad decision ... theres really no need to bite my head off about it, or say we suck ... just a bit much i think ...

Re: Forum skin
just realised that on aforumfree.com you dont get access to the php files so there is no way of moving the user info to thr left without changing the skin
EDIT: there is also no way to add new features because of this

Re: Forum skin
I think a faster way of seeing what people thought might have been to carry out some kind of poll regarding design and colour. Hey wait a second...!
My problem isn't with the changes, strictly speaking, just the pointlessness of it all. I mean really, there's like, 30 members. It's really not that hard to keep track of our opinions without needing to test run shit.
But maybe that's just me.
Off topic, but on topic of my rant, a mod/admin per every five users? Really? Are we THAT much trouble to control?
