im here nw kris! and GTA IV is sooooo next gen! its graphics are brilliant for a sandbox game with no loading times (well, little loading times) and the water is awesome. the trees do let it down unfortunately and the pop-in cars and lack of good cars is annoying. stef is right it definately aint worth 10/10 especially as loads of features have been taken out (i miss taxi missions especially!). i still think alot of fun can be had, especially with the new physics and car damage Very Happy ! i agree with stef on all of his rant, but dunc ur sorely miststsaken with ur thinking! bout as riduculous as ur argument for time not exisitng lol!

To be honest while the graphics are good, I think they are not quite "brilliant". There is sooo much bloom, motion blur and focus blur, you cant really see anything properly unless your really close and stationary

i agree they have hidden crappy textures behind oodles of filters! i still stand by the physics being one of the best points of the game, especially the emotion engine (engine behind the people). saying that, even that can become anoying - for instance when you get run over by a car or fall off a bike (especially in a mission), you end up shouting at Niko to get his serbian as off the asphalt!

The physics engine is nothing special I'd say, except the emotion engine which still doesnt quite live up to what it was proposeed to do

What I don't understand is why "they" continue to call it "Next-Generation"...

Surely, the Wii, PS3 and 360 have been around long enough to be considered the current generation??

nothing is really in development yet though so its still "the next generation of consoles"

OT: i wonder what direction they will push a new wii in? more invoation or a current wii with better graphics? hmm..

surley they will increase the processing power. But im pretty certain they will keep the whole innovation thing as its clearly working

PS3 sales - 12.81 mill units
XB360 sales - 19 mill units
Wii sales - 24.45 mill units

hmm, just instead of having two infrared receivers do it with bluetooth receivers, or maybe just get better infrared hardware...

the Wiimote is bluetooth already you know... if youve got a bluetooth adapter for your PC you can use it as a mouse!

Yeah i think better infrared hardware would be better, perhaps a sensor bar with stronger lights?

yea, its just too jerky at the moment, so i wouldnt dare buy something like trauma centre for the wii because you have to be quite precise or you kill the guy Smile
